This vintage 1980's kitchen had seen better days, and our customer came to us for help in updating the look and the function. Using updated colors and finishes, and improving the lighting, we achieved her goals while staying in budget.
The before photos say it all; the original cabinets had been painted to prolong their life and the white appliances were past their prime.
We started our planning with discussing what our customer's objectives were:
- Better space for entertaining
- More storage and display for her china and collectables
- Better quality cabinetry
- More lighting; the kitchen was dark
- Extend the hardwood flooring throughout the kitchen for visual flow
- Stay within the existing footprint of the kitchen
Then we went to the drawing board and created a layout and plan for the kitchen.
After our layout planning, we created the finishes plan incorporating the cabinets, appliances, countertops, backsplash, and paint colors to pull the entire project together.
A final budget plan was compiled and approved, and materials ordered.
Then...with all those decisions made....we started the demo and installation of the new kitchen.
And here are the results:
The planning process, both the layout, and the finishes selection, paid off with a smooth renovation. We completed this project on time, and within budget because of the time spent planning, selecting, and scheduling.
It was our pleasure, as it is with all our customers, to transform this kitchen and create a new space that will give her years of enjoyment.
